Swimming the paperwork seas: computers for the little guy
1978
Ashton, Robin
The development of tiny, cheap microprocessing circuitry has made it possible to design small, inexpensive computers. A number of companies have sprung up to make minicomputers, and fairly simple programming languages have been developed. With the investment of a few thousand dollars and a few days, foodservice operators are learning to use the machines to perform a number of traditional accounting and inventory procedures. Distinctions are made between hardware and software, and directions for buying a minicomputer are given.
