A study separated normal weight and underweight women who misperceived themselves to be overweight from normal weight and underweight women who classified themselves accurately. The 2 groups were compared with respect to self-perceptions, mood, food and dieting attitudes and behaviors, and social expectations. The study results are statistically summarized and discussed at length.(wz)
