Xanthones from Cratoxylum maingayi

1,7-dihydroxy-, 2,8-dihydroxy-1-methoxy-, 1,7-dihydroxy-4-methoxyxanthone and the new 7-hydroxy-1,2,3,8-tetramethoxyxanthone, were isolated from the wood of Cratoxylum maingayi. The structure of the new xanthone was confirmed by X-ray crystallography.
