Varietal Differences in the Rotenoid Content of Tephrosia vogelii

SynopsisThe mean rotenoid content of 16 introductions of Tephrosia vogelii was found to vary from 0 to 2.9% dry weight. Mean differences were observed at the 1% level of probability in rotenoid content, plant height and width, leaflet number and size, and flower color. No differences were observed in leaf nitrogen content. A negative correlation was found between mean leaf rotenoid content and mean plant height.
