Further studies on the reproductive isolation of geographical strains in the tetranychus telarius complex

Cross breeding experiments with British and North American colour forms of the mites included in the Tetranychus telarius complex suggest that T. urticae Koch is the correct name for the green form, and T. cinnabarinus Boisd. for the reddish form. Different strains, with different degrees of incompatibility, occur in each species.
