The effects of 3 food supplements on feeding and growth rate in the rat

One preparation, 'Supradyn', caused a lower rate of growth without diminishing food consumption. Another preparation, 'Biostrath', caused normal growth on a lower food pellet consumption. It is suggested that 'Biostrath' might contain as yet unknown growth factors from yeast which are not present in the standard diet or the synthetic vitamin preparations.
