Wirth, V., Hauck, M. & Sipman, H. 2021. Notes on lichen floristic data for Thuringia and surrounding regions. – Herzogia 34: 339 –353. In a publication on the lichens of Thuringia (L. Meinunger: Annotated checklist of the lichens of Thuringia, 2011), numerous species identifications appeared questionable and were therefore not included in Germany's lichen flora of 2013. In 2019, Meinunger's distribution maps for the lichens of the Thuringian Forest, the Rhön and adjacent areas were published posthumously. In that publication, the problematic data were partly repeated, but partly also revised for a substantial number of species (61 species). Furthermore, additional species were newly recorded, which required theverification of the species identifications. In the present paper, we revised 40 species, for which we doubted the correctness of Meinunger's assignments to species Thirty-five species turned out to be misidentified. The specimens of one species were partially incorrectly identified, and only four species were correctly identified. Lecanora chlorophaeodes is recorded as new for Germany.
