Steroid Composition of Fruit from Yucca gloriosa Introduced into Georgia

Eight new spiro- and furostanol glycosides that were tigogenin derivatives were isolated from pericarp of Yucca gloriosa fruit. The carbohydrate part of the furostanols contained 7–8 monosaccharides. The structures of the obtained compounds were elucidated using modern spectral methods.
