Response of Mungbean Genotypes to Dates of Sowing and Foliar Nutrition

A field experiment was carried out at Main Agricultural Research Station, UAS, Dharwad (Karnataka) during kharif season of 2012 to study the response of mungbean genotypes to dates of sowing and foliar nutrition under kharif season. Results revealed that genotype DGGV-2 recorded significantly higher physiological parameters as compared to other genotypes. Among dates of sowing, crop sown on 14ᵗʰ June registered maximum physiological growth parameters in mungbean genotypes than others. The crop sown on 14ᵗʰ June recorded significantly higher nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium uptake (59.02, 11.90 and 26.16 kg ha⁻¹, respectively) compared to other dates of sowing. The variety DGGV-2 recorded significantly higher N, P and K uptake (50.89, 11.24 and 23.09 kg ha⁻¹, respectively) over IPM-02-14 (43.39, 10.29 and 21.39 kg ha⁻¹, respectively) and SEL-4 (45.30, 10.59 and 21.42 kg ha⁻¹, respectively). Significant difference was observed in N and Puptake 2% DAP spray (49.41, 11.36 and 23.08 kg ha⁻¹, respectively) and no spray (43.65, 10.05 and 20.85 kg ha⁻¹, respectively). None of the interactions were found to be significant except date of sowing and varieties the D₁V₁ recorded significantly higher N, P and K uptake (64.28, 13.13, 29.14 kg ha⁻¹, respectively) over other interactions.
