Knowledge and Adoption of Sugarcane Growers About Drip Irrigation

The study was conducted in Osmanabad and Latur districts. Two tahsils from each distrct and five villages from each tahsil were selected purposively. Six respondents from each villages were selected, i.e. 120 respondents from 20 villages constituted the sample for the study. Ex-Post Facto research design was used for the research study. From findings it is observed that majority of respondents were middle age, educated up to secondary school level followed by higher secondary school level, medium farming experience, belonged to medium size of family, semi-medium size of land holding, had medium size of area under drip irrigation, mediumannual income, medium economic motivation, medium social participation, medium extension contact, mediumrisk orientation, and most of respondents had used medium sources of information. Majority of respondents had medium level of knowledge about management practices of drip irrigation system. Majority of the respondents had medium level of adoption of management practices of drip irrigation system.
