The essential oil of flowering Tagetes lemmonii Gray, which was examined by GC/MS, was dominated by dihydrotagetone (42.52 +/- 11.27%), (E)-tagetone (16.10 +/- 18.21%) and (E)-ocimenone (14.18 +/- 3.37).
