1-Bis(trimethylsilyl)aminogermatrane (3), the first germatrane bearing an amino group at the germanium atom, was synthesized by the reaction of 1 -hydroxygermatrane with bis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amino)]stannylene (1). 3 has been characterised by ¹H ,¹³C, ²⁹Si NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and by X-ray diffractometry.
