Calcium Movement in Barley and Wheat as Affected by Copper and Phosphorus
1965
Brown, John C.
SynopsisCopper facilitated the movement of Ca in ‘Hudson’ barley and in ‘Atlas 66’ and ‘Monon’ wheat. Phosphate accentuated Cu deficiency and decreased the translocation of Ca into the upper leaves of Cu-deficient plants. Cu-sufficient plants maintained the Ca level in the upper leaves in the presence of high P. A nutritional relationship between Ca, P, and Cu is demonstrated.
