Twenty growing female goat kids with similar age and body weight were selected and divided into two groups of ten animals each. Control group (T₁) was maintained solely on grazing for 6–8 h on community grazing land while kids in second group (T₂) were fed concentrate mixture @ 1.5% of body weight along with grazing for 150 days. The average daily gain was significantly (P<0.05) higher in group T₂ (59.00±3.39) as compared to T₁ (35.00±4.82). The net return from supplementation in 150 days was markedly higher by 266.25 per goat in group T₂ and benefit: cost ratio was also higher in group T₂ (1.60) as compared to control group (1.23). Hence, feeding of concentrate mixture along with grazing improved growth performance in female goats.
