Macrocyclic bisbibenzyls in cultured cells of the liverwort, Heteroscyphus planus

Two bishibenzyl compounds, isoplagiochin A and a novel bisbibenzyl compound, named planusin A, were isolated from cultured cells of the liverwort, Heteroscyphus planus. Their structures were determined on the basis of spectral analysis.
