Chaudhary, S.K. | Nijjar, G.S. | Rehalia, A.S.
A nutritional survey of 22 mango orchards of Gurdaspur district in Punjab was conducted from 1976 to 1978. The soils of this district, in general, are clayloam, brown to dark brown in colour with a pH ranging from 7.0 to 7.5. The available N, P and K are in medium range. The leaf analysis data indicated that N and P content of all the orchards including those which have never been manured and irrigated was in satisfactory range but low in K content as compared with standard values but it was in low to deficient range when compared with values given by Kumar and Nauriyal (1977). Potassium deficiency symptoms were observed in most of the orchards. The yield was regular and better in well managed orchards.
