Aspects of the integrated use of non-traditional plant raw materials (Sorghum) in biotechnological industries | Аспекты комплексного использования нетрадиционного растительного сырья (Sorghum) в биотехнологических производствах

anglais. An urgent issue of the processing industries is the expansion of the raw material base and the reduction of waste generation. The data of scientific articles published in 2008-2022 concerning the peculiarities of the biochemical composition of the sorghum plant (Sorghum bicolor) and methods of its complex conversion to ethanol and lysine are summarized. The search and selection of articles for inclusion in the review was carried out by keywords and their combinations in bibliographic databases eLibrary, Google Scholar, Scopus, Elsevier. The effect of the composition of the main polymers of grain sorghum on the level of synthesis of ethanol and lysine is shown. The distiller's wash remaining after fermentation of the wort with Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast can be used for culturing Brevibacterium RCAM 01129 to obtain a feed lysine-protein additive as a result. The possibility of complex use of grain and stem juice of sorghum not only as raw materials to produce ethyl alcohol, but also as a source of carbohydrates for microbial conversion to L-lysine has been confirmed. The importance of microbial synthesis in solving environmental problems of alcohol production has been revealed. It is shown that it is possible to develop a comprehensive resource-saving biotechnology for processing sorghum and, along with the target product ethanol, additionally to produce a lysine-protein feed additive. This creates prerequisites for expanding research into the development of biosynthetic technologies to produce other microbial synthesis valuable products based on the use of multicomponent sorghum plant as a substrate for the cultivation of industrial strains of microorganisms producing functional ingredients and biologically active substances.

russe. Актуальной проблемой перерабатывающих отраслей промышленности является расширение сырьевой базы и сокращение образования отходов. Обобщены данные научных статей, опубликованных в 2008–2022 гг., об особенностях биохимического состава растения сорго (Sorghum bicolor) и методах его комплексной конверсии в этанол и лизин. Поиск и отбор статей для включения в обзор осуществляли по ключевым словам и их сочетаниям в библиографических базах eLIBRARY, Google Scholar, Scopus, Elsevier. Показано влияние состава основных полимеров зернового сорго на уровень синтеза этанола и лизина. На барде, остающейся после сбраживания сусла дрожжами Sасcharomyces cerevisiae, целесообразно культивировать Brevibacterium RCAM 01129, чтобы в результате получить кормовую лизино-белковую добавку. Подтверждена возможность комплексного использования зерна и сока стеблей сорго не только как сырья для получения этилового спирта, но и как источника углеводов для микробной конверсии их в L-лизин. Выявлена значимость микробного синтеза в решении экологических проблем спиртового производства. Показано, что существует возможность разработать комплексную ресурсосберегающую биотехнологию переработки сорго и наряду с целевым продуктом этанолом дополнительно производить лизино-белковую кормовую добавку. Это создает предпосылки для расширения исследований в области разработки биосинтетических технологий получения других ценных продуктов микробного синтеза на основе использования многокомпонентного растения сорго как субстрата для культивирования промышленных штаммов микроорганизмов – продуцентов функциональных ингредиентов и биологически активных веществ.
