The article presents current data on the development and state of vine plantations in the Republic of Moldova for a long period of time. The cultivation of vines is the traditional and economically advantageous activity of the population of the republic. Of particular interest are the chapters on the cultivation and fertility of vine plantations, varietal agrotechniques and protection against frost, diseases and pests, where the basic problems are the influence of natural factors, the location of plantations on the complicated relief of the republic taking into account biological particuliarities of varieties and clones. Most of the agricultural practices listed and their elements are closely related to human factors, planning and organization of production and others.
