The causative agents of stone fruit trees leaf spots overwinter in fallen leaves. The spores of the fungus that causes it begin to fly in the spring, when the leaves bloom — best in the heat, after rain. These spores spread far. The disease develops in the leaves, and in the second half of summer, the spread of spores — best of all in moisture, in moderate temperature. Damaged leaves fall prematurely. Dryness and heat or autumn coolness can stop the development of the disease. [ABSTRACT IN LATVIAN] Kauleņkoku lapbires izraisītāji pārziemo nobirušajās lapās. Tās ierosinātājas sēnes sporas sāk izlidot pavasarī, kad plaukst lapas — vislabāk siltumā, pēc lietus. Šīs sporas izplatās tālu. Slimība attīstās lapās, un vasaras otrajā pusē atsākas sporu izplatīšanās — vislabāk mitrumā, mērenā temperatūrā. Bojātās lapas pāragri nobirst. Sausums un karstums vai rudens vēsums var apturēt slimības attīstību.
