Propuesta para la integración de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) en la Universidad Santo Tomás Sede Bogotá

Este proyecto se realizó con el fin de asumir el reto de apoyar la implementación de la agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible en la Universidad Santo Tomás, la cual pretende encaminar a la sociedad hacia un mejor futuro (Algora Weber, 2019),a través de la formulación de una propuesta de integración de los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible (ODS) con las funciones sustantivas de la Universidad Santo Tomás sede Bogotá. Para cumplir con este objetivo se propuso desarrollar una metodología teniendo como línea base la guía titulada “Como empezar con los ODS en las Universidades”, elaborada por el Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Australia / Pacífico. Inicialmente se realizó una revisión del estado del arte con el fin de conocer la importancia de los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible y de qué manera las universidades pueden implementarlos, seguidamente se llevó a cabo un diagnóstico para recolectar y analizar la información relacionada con las acciones y actividades que la universidad desarrolla para apoyar y contribuir a los ODS, esta fase se subdividió en cuatro partes, en primer lugar se determinaron los grupos de interés, seguido a esto se realizó una búsqueda de información por medio de diferentes páginas web, teniendo en cuenta los grupos de interés, la misión y visión institucional, la misión y visión de los programas de pregrado y posgrado y los objetivos de los procesos de la universidad; una vez recopilada la información, se organizó un taller de interacción con las personas encargadas de cada una de las áreas con el fin de socializar la importancia de los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible y complementar la información obtenida en el paso anterior y por último, se clasificó la información y se utilizó una matriz en Excel, en donde se relacionaron las áreas con cada uno de los ODS. Al concluir esta fase, se dio paso a establecer indicadores, con el fin de determinar el porcentaje de cumplimiento de los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible, se tuvo como base los indicadores propuestos por Time Higher Education, seguidamente se realizó un análisis cualitativo, en donde se establecieron los ODS con mayor y menor porcentaje de cumplimiento. Se evidencio que los ODS con mayor cumplimiento son educación de calidad e industria, innovación e infraestructura y el de menor cumplimiento es el de vida submarina debido a que no se han realizado investigaciones ni acciones que le aporten a dicho objetivo, por último, se presentó la propuesta de integración de los ODS.
Afficher plus [+] Moins [-]This project was made to assume the challenge of supporting the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for the Sustainable Development on the Universidad Santo Tomás which aims for society to be oriented towards a better future (Algora Weber, 2019), through the formulation of a proposal to integrate the sustainable development goals (SDGs) with the university functions of the Universidad Santo Tomás Campus Bogotá. To achieve this objective the proposal is developing a methodology having as a base the guide named “Getting started with the SDGs in universities”, created by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Australia/Pacific. Initially, a review of the state of the art was carried out to get to know the seriousness of the SDGs, and in which ways the universities can apply them, secondly a diagnosis was made to recollect and analyze the information related to actions and activities that the university develops to support and contribute to the SDGs, this phase was subdivided in four steps, firstly the interest groups were determined, then a search of information in different websites was made, having in mind the interest groups, the institutional mission and vision, as the mission and vision of undergraduate and graduate programs and the objectives of the processes of the university: once the information is collected, a workshop of interaction with the people in charge of every area was organized in order to socialize the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals and complement the results obtained from the former step, and finally, the information was classified and an Excel array where the areas and the SDGs were related was used. After this phase was over, indicators were established, with the final purpose of determinate the percentage of fulfilment of the SDGs, the Time Higher Education indicators were the base of these indicators and next a qualitative analysis was made to determinate the goals with most and least percentage of accomplishment. It was evidenced that the SDGs with more percentage of fulfilment are Quality Education and Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and the one with the least fulfilment is Life Bellow Water, due to a lack of investigations or actions to support it. To end, the proposal of integration of the SDGs was presented.
