Efecto de dos diluyentes y tiempo de permanencia sobre la viabilidad del semen de bovinos mestizos lecheros

The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of two diluents and residence time on the viability of semen from crossbred dairy cattle. For this, semen was collected from three breeding bulls of the Gyropar breed (Gyr x Pardo Suizo), 36 months old. The treatments were organized in a DCA design with a factorial arrangement (3x2), these being: T1: Toro 1 with Optixcell®; T2: Bull 1 with Andromed®; T3: Toro 2 with Optixcell®; T4: Toro 2 with Andromed®; T5: Toro 3 with Optixcell®; T6: Toro 3 with Andromed®. The variables to measure were: motility, normality and vitality at 0, 12 and 24 hours, while Normal Apical Edge (NAR), Damaged Apical Edge (DAR), Cytoplasmic Drop (GCs) in fresh semen. The results obtained were: in motility (p <0.05), hour 0 stood out in T1 (91.25 ± 2.50). Normality (p <0.05), a higher average was obtained at 0 hours on T1 (82.50 ± 6.57). While in vitality (p <0.05) the highest average was reached in T1 (97.00 ± 0.82). The morphological variables presented statistical differences (p <0.05); it was highlighted in the NAR variables in T3 (94.00 ± 2.58); GIVE T4 (8.75 ± 2.99) and GCs T6 (12.75 ± 4.43). It is concluded that the Andromed® and Optixcell® implementation does not have negative effects on the morphological quality parameters and the structural and functional integrity of the plasma and acrosomal membrane of the semen.

El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar el efecto de dos diluyentes y tiempo de permanencia sobre la viabilidad del semen de bovinos mestizos lecheros. Para ello se colectó semen de tres toros reproductores de raza Gyropar (Gyr x Pardo Suizo) de 36 meses de edad. Los tratamientos se organizaron en un diseño DCA con arreglo factorial (3x2), siendo estos: T1: Toro 1 con Optixcell®; T2: Toro 1 con Andromed®; T3: Toro 2 con Optixcell®; T4: Toro 2 con Andromed®; T5: Toro 3 con Optixcell®; T6: Toro 3 con Andromed®. Las variables a medir fueron: motilidad, normalidad y vitalidad a las 0, 12 y 24 horas, mientras que Borde Apical Normal (NAR), Borde Apical Dañado (DAR), Gota Citoplasmática (GCs) en semen fresco. Los resultados obtenidos fueron: en la motilidad (p<0,05) se destacó la hora 0 en el T1 (91,25 ± 2,50). La normalidad (p<0,05), se obtuvo un mayor promedio a las 0 horas el T1 (82,50 ± 6,57). Mientras que en la vitalidad (p<0,05) el mayor promedio se alcanzó en el T1 (97,00 ± 0,82). Las variables morfológicas presentaron diferencias estadísticas (p<0,05); se destacó en las variables NAR en el T3 (94,00 ± 2,58); DAR el T4 (8,75 ± 2,99) y GCs el T6 (12,75 ± 4,43). Se concluye que la implementación Andromed® y Optixcell® no tiene efectos negativos sobre los parámetros de calidad morfológicos e integridad estructural y funcional de la membrana plasmática y acrosomal del semen.
