Influencia de diferentes tipos de cama y espesores en los niveles de amoníaco en la crianza de pollos broiler Cobb 500

The objective of this research was to evaluate three types of litter, three measures of thickness and their influence on ammonia levels in the rearing of Cobb 500 broiler chickens. A bifactorial arrangement was used, which included the effect of the litter (wood chip, rice husk and peanut husk) and the effect of thickness (10, 15 and 20 cm) plus a control treatment, raised floor. For the study of the data, the analysis of variance was used through the statistical package Statistix 10.0 and an alpha value of 5%. The variable of ammonia levels was carried out through an air ammonia meter and there was a significant difference effect (P <0.0001) between the treatments during all weeks, where the group that reported the lowest ammonia emission was floor elevated with 1.35; 1.63; 1.68 (ppm). The animal welfare variable was obtained by inspecting the chicken breast and plantar, for this variable there was a significant difference (P <0.0001), the highest percentage was obtained by raised floor with (85.00%). A significant difference (P <0.05) was expressed for the variable beak and legs pigmentation, the raised floor presented the highest score for the legs (9.00), and in the same way for beak (7.75) using the technique de roche fan. The results allow us to conclude that the control treatment (raised floor) emitted a lower concentration of ammonia and presented fewer affections for the birds.

El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar tres tipos de cama, tres medidas de espesor y su influencia en los niveles de amoníaco en la crianza de pollos broiler Cobb 500. Se utilizó un arreglo bifactorial, que comprendió el efecto de la cama (viruta de madera, cascarilla de arroz y cascara de maní) y el efecto del espesor (10, 15 y 20 cm) más un tratamiento control, piso elevado. Para el estudio de los datos se utilizó el análisis de varianza a través del paquete estadístico Statistix 10.0 y valor alfa de 5%. La variable de los niveles de amoniaco, se realizó a través de un medidor de amoníaco de aire y se observó diferencia significativa (P<0,0001) entre los tratamientos durante todas las semanas, donde el grupo que reportó menor emisión de amoniaco fue piso elevado con 1,35; 1,63; 1,68 (ppm). La variable bienestar animal se obtuvo mediante la inspección de la pechuga y los plantares del pollo, para esta variable existió diferencia significativa (P<0,0001), el mayor porcentaje lo obtuvo piso elevado con (85,00%). Se observó diferencia significativa (P<0,05) para la variable pigmentación de pico y patas, el piso elevado presentó el mayor puntaje para las patas (9,00), y de igual manera para pico (7,75) mediante la técnica de abanico de roche. Los resultados permiten concluir que el tratamiento testigo (Piso elevado) emitió menor concentración de amoniaco y presentó menos afecciones para las aves.
