This survey discusses the effect of reseeding botanically deteriorated grassland on several aspects of grassland use, including dry matter yield, intake of grass during grazing, nutritive value, ensilability, conservation losses, intake of silage and utilisation in the animal. From the survey it appears that a number of relatively small differences on several aspects can result in a 24-30 % higher productivity (beef production) of reseeded grassland compared with botanically deteriorated grassland.

De literatuurstudie behandelt het effect van herinzaai van botanisch verslechterd grasland op een aantal aspecten van graslandgebruik, waaronder drogestofopbrengst, opname van gras bij beweiding, voederwaarde, inkuilbaarheid en inkuilverliezen,opname van silage en benutting in het dier. Uit de studie blijkt dat relatief kleine verschillen op diverse onderdelen kunnen leiden tot een 24-30 % hogere productiviteit (vleesproductie) van heringezaaid grasland vergeleken met botanisch verslechterdgrasland.
