Variability of estimates of the fertility of the semen of bulls during insemination of cows of different ages | Изменчивость оценок оплодотворяющей способности семени быков-производителей при осеменении коров разного возраста

anglais. One of the important parameters for estimate the reproductive function of sires is the fertilizing ability of the semen. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account the factors and causes that directly or indirectly affect the conception rate of cows. One of these factors is the age of a cow to be inseminated, which should be taken into account when estimating the breeding value of sires. Studies were conducted to estimate the male fertility of the semen of 175 Holstein stud bulls based on conception rate data after a single insemination of covering age heifers (n=17722) and 1—3 lactation cows (n=57641) at the farms of the Moscow region for the period 2019—2022. To estimate the breeding value of bulls, the BLUP Sire Model was used, where the estimate year (Year (i)) and the age of the breeding cow (Lact (j)) were used as fixed effects. The breeding value estimates were evaluated in the BLUPF90 family programs. To determine the ranking convergence of bulls in breeding value estimates of the semen fertilizing ability, the rank repetitiveness coefficient calculated according to Spearman was used. Bulls had the highest phenotypic values of semen fertility — more than 68% (C(v) =12.5—17.1%), regardless of the year of estimate, when inseminating covering age heifers. When inseminating cows, the value of fertilizing ability of bull semen was lower and did not exceed 45% (C(v) =27.1% and more). The variance analysis data demonstrate a reliable influence of the age of the breeding cow (eta =50.15%; P no greater 0.001) and other unaccounted factors (eta =32.6%), which is reflected in the calculations of low rank repetitiveness of both the phenotypic estimate of semen fertility (r (w) = 0.003...-0.08) and genetic one (r (w) =0.42—0.51) and indicates the need for a separate estimate of the bull semen fertility on covering heifers and on 1st lactation cows and older.

russe. Одним из важных параметров оценки воспроизводительной функции быков-производителей является оплодотворяющая способность семени. При этом необходимо принимать во внимание факторы и причины, прямо или косвенно влияющие на оплодотворяемость коров. Таковым является возраст осеменяемой коровы, который следует учитывать при оценке племенной ценности быков-производителей. Проведено исследование по оценке оплодотворяющей способности семени 175 быков-производителей голштинской породы на основании данных оплодотворяемости после однократного осеменения телок случного возраста (n=17722) и коров 1—3-й лактации (n=57641) в хозяйствах Московской области за период 2019—2022 гг. Для оценки племенной ценности быков использовали модель BLUP Sire Model, где в качестве фиксированных эффектов использовали год оценки (Year (i)) и возраст осеменяемой коровы (Lact (j)). Расчет оценок племенной ценности осуществлялся в программах семейства BLUPF90. Для определения сходимости ранжирования быков по оценкам племенной ценности оплодотворяющей способности их семени использовали коэффициент ранговой повторяемости, который рассчитывали по Спирмену. Самые высокие фенотипические значения фертильности семени — более 68% (С (v)=12,5—17,1%), независимо от года оценки, имели быки при осеменении телок случного возраста. При осеменении коров показатель оплодотворяющей способности семени быков был ниже и не превышал 45% (С (v)=27,1% и более). Данные дисперсионного анализа демонстрируют достоверное влияние возраста осеменяемой коровы (эта=50,15%; Р не более 0,001) и других неучтенных факторов (эта=32,6%), что имеет отражение в расчетах низкой ранговой повторяемости как фенотипической оценки фертильности семени (r (w)= 0,003…-0,08), так и генетической (r (w) =0,42—0,51) и указывает на необходимость раздельной оценки фертильности семени быков на телках случного возраста и на коровах 1-й лактации и старше.
