Avaliação das alterações físicas e químicas, distribuição e mobilidade dos íons em três solos tratados com manipueira | Evaluation of the physical and chemical changes, distribution and mobility of ions in three soils treated with cassava wastewater

O presente trabalho foi constituídos por dois experimentos, sendo o primeiro composto por dois ensaios. No primeiro experimento, objetivou-se avaliar as alterações das características químicas e físicas do solo em resposta à incubação com manipueira, bem como a distribuição de potássio, sódio, cálcio, magnésio e fósforo em colunas de solo, após a aplicação de doses crescentes deste resíduo, em amostras dos solos Neossolo Quartzarênico órtico espódico (RQo), Latossolo Amarelo distrófico típico (LAd) e Latossolo Vermelho-Amarelo distrófico típico (LVAd) de Minas Gerais. Este ensaio constou da incubação dos solos, por 21 dias, em recipientes contendo um quilo de solo cada, utilizando-se cinco doses de manipueira. A dose inicial de manipueira foi calculada de forma acrescentar 50 kg ha -1 de potássio, que é uma quantidade próxima àquela indicada para a cultura de milho em solo de fertilidade média. Foram utilizados as doses de manipueira: 0 m 3 ha -1 , 85 m 3 ha -1 , 170 m 3 ha -1 , 340 m 3 ha -1 e 510 m 3 ha -1 . No segundo ensaio, utilizaram-se colunas de PVC de 7,5 cm de diâmetro e 66,5 cm de altura, seccionadas a cada 7,5 cm. Em cada coluna, 510 m 3 ha -1 de água e, ou, manipueira, conforme as doses calculadas. Após aplicação, determinou-se a concentração dos íons em cada anel de solo estudado. No segundo experimento, objetivou-se determinar os fatores de retardamento e os coeficientes de dispersão-difusão dos íons potássio, sódio, cálcio e magnésio, presentes em maiores concentrações na água residuária utilizada na fertirrigação. Para isto realizou-se um experimento em laboratório, utilizando-se colunas de percolação preenchidas com os materiais dos três solos. No ensaio 1, observou-se um aumento linear no sódio e magnésio trocáveis e pH para os solos RQo, LAd e LVAd, no cálcio trocável para RQo e LVAd, no fósforo disponível dos solos RQo e LVAd; Houve diminuição no carbono orgânico solo LVAd no alumínio trocável do solo LVAd e aumento na CE dos solos LAd e LVAd. Ao ajustar o modelo exponencial, observou-se também um aumento no potássio dos solos RQo e LAd e, no fósforo do solo LAd. Observou-se aumento no potássio para o solo LVAd e no carbono orgânico para o solo RQo, bem como um decréscimo no alumínio para o solo RQo com ajuste do modelo quadrático. Houve aumento na condutividade elétrica para o solo RQo e diminuição no alumínio trocável com ajuste do modelo hiperbólico 2. Não houve ajustes de modelos par o cálcio e carbono orgânico para o solo LAd e também para o grau de floculação e equivalente de umidade para os três solos. No ensaio 2, observou-se que as maiores concentrações de bases trocáveis ocorreram nos primeiros anéis de solo, onde ocorre maior contato entre os constituintes da manipueira e o complexo de troca, favorecendo a adsorção de íons pelo solo. Com relação à movimentação dos íons, o solo RQo apresentou uma maior migração dos cátions trocáveis, sendo que no solo LVAd ocorreu o contrário. Com o aumento nas doses aplicadas, observou-se uma maior lixiviação do K, Na, Ca e Mg, seguindo a ordem: solo RQO > LAd > LVAd. No experimento II, os valores dos fatores de retardamento foram mais altos para o sódio no solo RQo, cálcio e magnésio no solo LAd, e potássio no solo LVAd. Os baixos valores dos fatores de retardamento e dos coeficientes dispersivo-difusivos dos íons sódio, potássio, cálcio e magnésio presentes na manipueira, semelhante ao que se observa em testes usando soluções desses íons com água destilada como solvente, evidenciam a influência do material orgânico presente na manipueira, tanto do ponto de vista de uma redução na porosidade do solo quanto de uma possível complexação dos íons magnésio e cálcio com a matéria orgânica no perfil.

Two experiments were carried out, being the first one composed by two assays. In the first experiment, the first assay aimed at evaluating the changes of the chemical and physical characteristics of the soil in response to the incubation with cassava wastewater, as well as the partitioning of potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus in soil columns, after application of increasing doses of this residue in samples of the following soils: Spodic Orthic Quartzarenic Neosol (RQo), Typic Dystrophic Yellow Latosol (LAd), and Typic Dystrophic Yellowish Red Latosol (LVAd) in Minas Gerais State. This assay consisted of incubation of the soils (21 days) in containers containing 1kg soil each one, by using five cassava wastewater doses. The initial cassava wastewater dose was calculated in such a way to adding 50 kg ha -1 of potassium, what is an amount close to that indicated to maize cropping in a medium-fertility soil. The following cassava wastewater doses were added: 0 m 3 ha -1 , 85 m 3 ha -1 , 170 m 3 ha -1 , 340 m 3 ha -1 and 510 m 3 ha -1 . In the second assay, a number of PVC columns with 7.5cm diameter and 66.5 cm height were used, which were sectioned at each 7.5 cm. Each column were applied 510 m 3 ha -1 water and/or cassava wastewater, according to the calculated doses. After application, the concentration of the ions in each tube ring were determined. The second experiment aimed at determining the retardation factors and the dispersion-diffusion coefficients of potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium ions found at higher concentrations in the wastewater used in fertirrigation. So, an experiment was conducted under laboratory conditions, by using percolation columns filled with the materials from those three soils. In the first assay, a lineal increase was observed in the exchangeable sodium, magnesium and pH of the soils RQo, LAd and LVAd, in the exchangeable calcium of RQo and LVAd, in the available phosphorus of RQo and LVAd. A reduction occurred in both the organic carbon and the exchangeable aluminum of the LVA soil, but an increase in CE of the soils LAd and LVAd. Upon adjusting the exponential model, an increase was observed in potassium of the soils RQo and LAd, in phosphorus of the LAd soil and in the organic carbon of the RQo soil, as well as a decrease in aluminum of the RQo soil when adjusting the quadratic model. The electrical conductivity increased for the RQo soil, whereas the exchangeable aluminum decreased upon the adjustment of the hyperbolic model 2. No adjustments to the models were performed for calcium and organic carbon of the LAd soil neither for the flocculation level and the moisture equivalent in those three soils. In assay 2, the highest concentrations of exchangeable bases occurred in the first soil tubes, a region where there is a higher contact between the cassava wastewater constituents and the change complex, therefore favoring the adsorption of ions by the soil. In relation to the ion movements, the RQo soil showed a higher migration of the exchangeable cations, whereas the opposite occurred in the LVAd soil. With the increased doses, a higher leaching of K, Na, Ca and Mg was observed, following the order: RQO soil > Lad > LVAd. In experiment II, the values of the retardation factors were higher for sodium in the RQo soil, calcium and magnesium in the LAd soil, and potassium in the LVAd soil. The low values of the retardation factors and the dispersive-diffusive coefficients of the sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium ions found in the cassava wastewater, likely to that observed in tests using solutions of these ions with the distilled water as solvent, emphasize the influence of the organic material found in the wastewater from the cassava processing under the viewpoint of a reduction in the soil porosity as well as a possible complexity o of the magnesium and calcium ions with the organic matter in the profile.
