Comportamento do clomazone em solos tropicais | Clomazone behavior in tropical soils

Os agroquímicos são imprecindiveis na garantia da produção de alimentos suficientes para toda a humanidade. Porém é necessário investir em boas práticas agrícolas para tornar o uso desses agroquímicos sustentável ao homem e ao meio ambiente. Para isso, são necessárias pesquisas visando conhecer o comportamento desses compostos no ambiente. Sendo assim, o objetivo dessa pesquisa foi avaliar a sorção e a lixiviação do clomazone em solos com diferentes características químicas e físicas, coletadas em diversas regiões do Brasil, utilizando métodos biológico e químico. No primeiro e segundo ensaio foram estimados os potenciais de sorção e de lixiviação do clomazone nos diferentes solos, utilizando ensaio biológico, tendo como indicador da presença do herbicida no solo a espécie Sorghum bicolor. No terceiro e no quarto, respectivamente, foram determinadas a sorção e dessorção e a lixiviação do clomazone utilizando a cromatografia líquida de alta eficiência (CLAE). A sorção e dessorção foram realizadas pelo método “batch equilibrium” e analisadas por CLAE. Para extração do herbicida lixiviado nas colunas de solo foi adotado o método QuEChERS. Os resultados indicam que a sorção, dessorção e lixiviação do clomazone nos solos avaliados são influenciadas pelos atributos dos solos, destacando-se para os teores de matéria orgânica. Outra característica dos solos que influenciou o comportamento do clomazone foi o pH. Com o aumento do pH, houve tendência de maior retenção do herbicida. Em solos com baixo teor de matéria orgânica e textura arenosa pode ocorrer maior mobilidade e menor sorção do clomazone. Observou-se relação direta entre esse atributo dos solos e os valores dos coeficientes de sorção e, inversa na lixiviação do clomazone em colunas de solo, indicam alto risco de contaminação de águas suterrâneas por este herbicida quando aplicado em solos com menores teores de matéria orgânica e de argila. Concluiu-se que o método biológico e a CLAE são eficientes nos estudos do comportamento do clomazone em solos, podendo ser utilizados de forma isolada ou complementar. Constatou-se, também, que a dose do clomazone a ser recomendada deve ser diferenciada para solos distintos. Dentre os atributos dos solos avaliados a matéria orgânica foi o que mais influenciou o comportamento do clomazone no ambiente.

The pesticides are essential to guarantee the production of enough food for all mankind. But it is necessary to invest in good agricultural practices to make the use of these sustainable agricultural chemicals to humans and the environment. For this studies are necessary to know the behavior of these compounds in the environment. Thus, the objective of this research was to evaluate the sorption and leaching of clomazone in soils with different chemical and physical characteristics, collected in various regions of Brazil, using biological and chemical methods. In the first and second test potentials were estimated sorption and leaching of clomazone in different soil using biological assay, with the indicator herbicide into the soil species Sorghum bicolor. In the third and fourth, respectively, were determined sorption and desorption and leaching of clomazone using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The sorption and desorption were carried out by the "batch equilibrium" and analyzed by HPLC. For extraction of the leached herbicide in soil columns was adopted QuEChERS method. The results indicate that the sorption, desorption and leaching of clomazone in the evaluated soils are influenced by soil properties, especially the organic matter content. Another characteristic of soils that influenced the clomazone behavior was pH. With increasing pH, there was a greater retention of the herbicidal trend. In soils with low organic matter content and sandy texture may occur greater mobility and lower sorption of clomazone. There was a direct relationship between this attribute of the soil and the values of sorption and inverse to the leaching of clomazone in soil columns indicated high risk suterrâneas water contamination by the herbicide when applied to soils with lower levels of organic matter and clay. It was concluded that the biological method and HPLC are efficient for clomazone behavior studies in soils, podendendo be used alone or in a complementary way. It was found also that of the clomazone the dose to be recommended must be differentiated for different soils. Among the attributes of the evaluated organic matter soils was the most influenced clomazone behavior in the environment.
