Estudio de las opciones de integración de energías renovables en el complejo de Solvay Torrelavega | Study of the renewable integration options for Solvay Torrelavega

RESUMEN: En el presente trabajo de fin de grado se realizan un análisis de la rentabilidad de instalar de una planta fotovoltaica en Solvay Torrelavega en la actualidad con el fin de descubrir si existe una forma de consumo y venta de electricidad más beneficiosa para la fábrica que la actual. Este análisis se realiza debido a que a finales de 2020 salen a la luz dos documentos, el Real Decreto 1183/2020 de 29 de diciembre de acceso y conexión a las redes de transporte y distribución de energía, el cual permite la hibridación entre centrales de cogeneración y plantas fotovoltaicas y el Real Decreto 1106/2020 del 15 de diciembre, el Estatuto de consumidores Electrointensivos. En el presente documento se estudian distintos escenarios referentes a diferentes modalidades de autoconsumo y venta de excedentes y/o venta de toda la energía generada neta considerando la hibridación de la cogeneración de Solvay I con una planta fotovoltaica y, en algunos casos, la adhesión al Estatuto de Consumidores Electrointensivos. Para valorar si resulta beneficiosa la instalación de una planta fotovoltaica se calculan los beneficios producidos por la compra/veta de electricidad en cuatro casos distintos y se comparan con los obtenidos en la actualidad: • Situación actual. Autoconsumo de la energía producida por cogeneración y venta de excedentes sin retribución a la operación (RO). Se obtienen unos beneficios de 3-4 M€ • Caso 1: Autoconsumo de la energía producida por cogeneración y la planta fotovoltaica y venta de excedentes sin RO. Se obtienen unos beneficios de 4-5M€ • Caso 2: Autoconsumo de la energía producida por cogeneración y la planta fotovoltaica y venta de excedentes sin RO. (Autoconsumo en PPA). Se obtienen unos beneficios de 3-4 M€ • Caso 3: Venta de toda la energía generada neta producida por cogeneración y la planta fotovoltaica sin RO. Se obtienen unas pérdidas de hasta 1 M€ • Caso 4: Venta de toda la energía generada neta producida por cogeneración y la planta fotovoltaica sin RO adhiriéndose al Estatuto de consumidores Electrointensivos. Se obtienen unos beneficios de 0-1 M€. De estos análisis se concluye que en la actualidad solo podría resultar beneficioso realizar la hibridación de una planta fotovoltaica con la cogeneración de Solvay I en el caso de autoconsumo de la energía producida por la planta fotovoltaica mediante un PPA puesto que en ninguno de los otros casos estudiados se obtiene una rentabilidad que la multinacional considere suficiente. Sin embargo, puesto que la rentabilidad de este caso depende del P. OMIE, se considera una opción muy arriesgada y queda descartada. Por estos motivos se concluye que en la actualidad no es rentable instalar una planta fotovoltaica en Solvay Torrelavega.

ABSTRACT: During this end of degree Project tho analyses are carried out with the aim of discovering if there is any way of consumption and sale of energy that is more beneficial for Solvay tan the current one. These analyses are an análisis of the profability of the installation of a PV plant in Solvayorrelavega at present and the análisis of the value of the remuneration for the operation needed to make the change from coal to gas cogeneration profitable. To assess whether the installation of a photovoltaic plant is beneficial, the benefits produced by the purchase / vein of electricity are calculated in four different cases: • Current situation. Energy produced by cogeneration self- and sale of surpluses without remuneration for the operation (RO). Profits of M€ 3-4 are obtained. • Case 1: Energy produced by cogeneration and the photovoltaic plant selfconsumption and sale of surpluses without RO. Profits of M€ 4-5 are obtained • Case 2: Energy produced by cogeneration and the photovoltaic plant selfconsumption and sale of surpluses without RO. Profits of M€ 3-4 are obtained. • Case 3: All net generated energy produced by cogeneration and the photovoltaic plant sale without RO. Losses up to M€ 1 are produced • Case 4: All the net generated energy produced by cogeneration and the photovoltaic plant sale without RO, adhering to the Statute of Electrointensive consumers. Profits of M€ 0-1 are obtained. From this analysis it is concluded that at present it would only be beneficial to hybridize a photovoltaic plant with the Solvay I cogeneration system in case 2,due to the fact that any other of the cases studied had obtained enough benefits to make it profitable. However, due to the fact that the profitability of this case depends on P.OMIE it is considered a very risky option and it is ruled out. For these reasons, it is concluded that it is currently not profitable to install a photovoltaic plant in Solvay Torrelavega.
