Análisis del aporte polínico de especies arbóreas y arbustivas en tres muestras de miel procedente de apiarios, ubicados en el cantón Latacunga provincia de Cotopaxi.

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo el análisis del aporte polínico de especies arbóreas y arbustivas en tres muestras de miel procedente de apiarios, en el cantón Latacunga provincia de Cotopaxi, para lo cual se obtuvo el análisis del aporte polínico mediante la metodología de Shapiro-Wilks y se utilizó el análisis de datos no paramétricos de Kruskal-Wallis. Para la recolección de las muestras de mieles de los tres apiarios, se extrajo las mieles con ayuda de una espátula y centrifugado. Cada muestra fue almacenada en frascos de vidrio herméticos de 250 ml debidamente etiquetados, alcanzando temperatura ambiente hasta su análisis. Se realizaron preparaciones microscópicas acetolizadas, los gramos de polen obtenidos fueron reconocidos mediante un microscopio determinando su tamaño y forma, para luego ser comparadas con una palinoteca. El análisis melisopanológico demostró que las familias dominantes en esta investigación fueron Myrtaceae y Fabaceae con dos y cuatro especies respectivamente. Las mieles del Cantón Latacunga presentaron 18 tipos polínicos los cuales fueron categorizados según la clase de frecuencia de Loveaux et al., 1978. La muestra uno presentó un porcentaje de 51% la familia Myrtaceae con la especie Eucalyptus globulus Labill, lo que nos indica que es una miel monofloral. La muestra dos presentó un porcentaje de 53% la familia Myrtaceae con la familia Eucalyptus globulus Labill, lo que nos demostró que es una miel monofloral. La muestra tres presentó un porcentaje de 50% la familia Fabaceae con la especie Baptisia australis (L.) R. Br. Lo que nos demostró que es una miel monofloral. Debido a los resultados preliminares se pretende que despierte el interés de los apicultores a continuar con estudios similares a nivel local y regional con el propósito de darle un valor agregado al producto, con la recomendación de implementar apiarios en zonas de tenga la especie Eucalyptus globulus Labill.

The aim of this research was to analyze the pollen contribution of arboreal and shrub species in three samples of honey from apiaries in Latacunga canton, province of Cotopaxi, the pollen contribution analysis was obtained using the Shapiro-Wilks methodology and the Kruskal Wallis non-parametric data analysis was used. For the collection of the honey samples from the three apiaries, the honeys were extracted with the help of an spatula and centrifuged. Each sample was hermetically stored sealed 250 ml glass bottles duly labeled, reaching room temperature until analysis. Acetolized microscopic preparations were made, the pollen grams gotten were recognized by means of a microscope to determine their size and shape, and then compared with a palinotheca. The melisopanological analysis showed that the dominant families in this research were Myrtaceae and Fabaceae with two and four species, respectively. The honeys from Latacunga canton, presented 18 pollen types which were categorized according to the frequency class according with Loveaux et al., 1978. Sample one presented a percentage of 51% of the Myrtaceae family with the species Eucalyptus globulus Labill, which indicates that it is a monofloral honey. Sample two showed a percentage of 53% of the Myrtaceae family with the Eucalyptus globulus Labill family, which showed us that it is a monofloral honey. The third sample showed a percentage of 50% of the Fabaceae family with the Baptisia australis (L.) R. Br. species, which showed us that it is a monofloral honey. Due to the preliminary results, it is intended to awaken the interest of beekeepers to continue with similar studies at local and regional level with the purpose of giving an added value to the product, with the recommendation to implement apiaries in areas with the Eucalyptus globulus Labill species.
