The main purpose of this article is to increase the industrial significance of stone quarries (in the example of the Garadagh limestone deposit) operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan.What is the impact of mining on the environment and to what extent is a comprehensive assessment of these effects carried out.The geological assessment was mainly based on the assessment of limestone according to current standards and economic efficiency. In particular, the geological deposits of sawdust deposits located on the Absheron Peninsula are simple, their location in favorable geological, mining and economic conditions allows them to be valued with little impact on the environment.
