The taxonomic composition and ecological peculiarities of flies (Insecta: Diptera) of nature reserve “Kamyshanova Polyana”

The taxonomic composition of flies (Diptera) from Nature Reserve «Kamyshanova Polyana» includes 71 families. The representatives of the families Atelestidae and Brachystomatidae were found in the Caucasus for the first time. Among Nematocera the families Psychodidae, Sciaridae, Chironomidae, Lestremiidae, Ceratopogonidae, Cecidomyiidae, Limoniidae and Mycetophilidae are most numerous; among Brachycera – Opomyzidae, Muscidae, Empididae, Hybotidae, Phoridae, Drosophilidae. Statistical analysis of the number of specimens from different families of Diptera divided all families into three clusters – few in number (mean of frequency sums is 0.49), common (5.01) and mass (27.66).
