The aim of the work was to study the effect of feeding an organic zinc compound on digestion in the rumen and metabolism in the body of young cattle. The studies were conducted on 4 groups of young cattle at the age of 6-9 months. In the control group, zinc sulfate was fed as part of concentrated feed, and in the experimental group, zinc glycinate was fed at 50, 75 and 100% of the requirement. The use of 75% and 100% organic zinc in the diets of 6-9–month-old bulls from the norm contributes to an increase in the total nitrogen content in the rumen fluid by 1.7-3.0% and a decrease in ammonia by 3.2-4.9%, an increase in the average daily increase by 4.0–5.4%, a reduction in feed costs by 2.6-3.3%. / Цель работы – изучить влияние скармливании органического соединения цинка на пищеварение в рубце и обмен веществ в организме молодняка крупного рогатого скота. Исследования проведены на 4-х группах молодняка крупного рогатого скота в возрасте 6-9 месяцев. В контрольной группе в составе концентрированных кормов скармливалась сернокислый цинк, а в опытных – глицинат цинка 50, 75 и 100% от потребности. Использование в рационах бычков 6-9–месячного возраста органического цинка 75% и 100% от нормы, способствует повышению содержания общего азота в рубцовой жидкости на 1,7-3,0% и снижению аммиака на 3,2-4,9%, увеличению среднесуточного прироста – на 4,0-5,4%, уменьшению затрат кормов на 2,6-3,3%.
