En översiktsanalys för Åre ÖstersundAirport : Inför en framtida implementering av elflyg

Sverige har som klimatmål att minska nettoutsläpp av växthusgaser till atmosfären till noll senast 2045. 2% av de globala koldioxidutsläppen kommer från flygresor. Antalet flygresor förväntas att öka i framtiden likaså koldioxidutsläppen. En elektrifiering av luftfarten skulle kunna minska klimatavtrycket från flygresor. Syftet examensarbetet är att analysera energianvändningen i dagsläget på Åre Östersund Airport samt analysera framtida energibehov som kommer med en implementering av elflyg. Åre Östersund Airport ligger 1,1 mil väster om Östersund och 9,4 mil öster om Åre. Flygplatsen har i dagsläget åtta inrikes flyglinjer och tre utrikes flyglinjer, år 2019 hade flygplatsen 473 500st antal resenärer var av 440 772 flög inrikes. Green flyway är ett projekt och samarbete mellan Norge och som syfte att inrätta luftrumskorridorer för att möjliggöra testflygning av elflygplan och autonoma luftfarkoster samt att anpassa flygplatser för eldrift och skapa flyglinjer för elflyg.En analys av Swedavias energianvändning gjordes och diagram skapades för att ge en visuell bild över resultatet. Elförbrukningen kollades på månadsbasis och årsbasis för att undersöka förändringar över året. Framtidsscenarier framställdes med antagen effekt för laddning och sedan satts i relation till Åre Östersund Airports elförbrukning. En implementering av elflyg på Åre Östersund Airport skulle förändra flygplatsens elanvändning framför allt med höga effekttoppar vid laddning av elflygplan, framidscenari1 gav en ökning på 731 MWh/år och framtidsscenario 2 gav en ökning på 2970 MWh/år. Slutligen så återstår det många utmaningar innan elflyget kan tänkas konkurrera med bränsledrivna flygplan på marknaden, framför allt behöver batterier utvecklas mer för att ha tillräcklig med kapacitet men samtidigt inte väga förmycket. Dock kan det vara möjligt att skapa nya korta flygrutter och minska koldioxidutsläpp från luftfartssektorn med hjälp av elflyg.
