Cultivation technique for high quality and good tasty production of a rice cultivar 'Yamagata 95'

1. With regard to basic growth index (1) Number of spikelets per square m for quality, eating quality, and yield is 32,000 grain, and yield components is as follows. <1> Number of ear : 460 tillers per square m <2> Number of grains per head : 70grain <3> Thousand-grain-weight : 23.3g <4> Percentage of ripened grains : 86% (2) Basic growth index is given as under <Figure1> Figure 1 Basic gowth index, Yamagata95 2. Basic method of nitrogenous fertilizer application (1) Basal nitrogenous dressing is 0.5-0.6kg/a. Young-ear formation stage of nitrogenous dressing is 0.2kg/a. Time of Young-ear formation stage of dressing is 25 days before heading for chemical fertilizer, and 30-25 days before heading for organic-chemical fertilizer. 3. With regard to growth diagnosis method (1) The right growth amount of July 10 berofe Young-ear formation stage of dressing is 30,000-36,000 (cm*tillers/square m) (plant length : about 60cm, Number of tillers : 500-600 tillers/square m), leaf color : 37-40. (2) If growth amount is over 36,000 (cm*tillers/square m), or leaf color is over 40, nitrogenous dressing decrease. 4. Optimum hervest time estimated from accumulated temperature after heading is 950degC-1,200degC. The rate of green paddy of hervest beginning is blow 20%.
