This study focuses on how the measures taken for an increase in milk yield and the lowering of production costs regarding the market for designated groups and home-selling of sixth sector industrialization can be useful for management strategy in the city of Fujinomiya, a middle-scale dairy producing area. To investigate this issue, a questionnaire survey was carried out in the case study production area and factual investigation was done on the case study firm. Based on the result, it was elucidated that, although management bodies introducing these measures are limited, they are useful for middle-scale dairy producing areas. While the influence of such factors as the Trans-Pacific Partnership is feared, these measures will attract attention for maintenance and development in middle-scale dairy producing areas.
