Kudzu (Pueraria phaseoloides) y maralfalfa (Pennisetum sp) y su influencia sobre los indices productivos de cuyes (Cavia porcellus) en la etapa de recría en Balsapuerto

Este trabajo de investigación se realizó en el fundo “San Miguel”, ubicado en la cuenca del río Cachiyacu, distrito de Balsapuerto, provincia de Alto Amazonas; con el propósito de determinar la influencia del kudzú (Pueraria phaseoloides) y maralfalfa (Pennisetum sp) sobre los índices productivos (Consumo de alimento, incremento de peso y conversión alimenticia) de cuyes (Cavia porcellus) en la etapa de recría, empleándose 36 cuyes machos destetados de 21días (etapa de recría) de las razas Perú, Andina e Inti del tipo I y A, procedentes de la Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina – Lima, distribuidos en un Diseño Completamente al Azar, con tres tratamientos y cuatro repeticiones (3 unidades por repetición en cada tratamiento). Los tratamientos fueron: T1: kudzu 100%, T2: maralfalfa 100% y T3: kudzu 50% + maralfalfa 50%; evaluados en un periodo de 8 semanas, encontrándose los siguientes resultados: referente al consumo de alimento se obtuvó para T1, T2 y T3 valores de 23.23, 23.16, y 24.57 g/día. Correspondientemente presentándose diferencias estadísticas altamente significativas (P < 0.01) entre el T3 y los T2 y T1. En relación al incremento de peso total fueron de 348.75 (6.23 g/día), 355.00 (6.34 g/día) y 406.25 (7.25 g/día) g, para el T1, T2 y T3 respectivamente con diferencias estadísticas (P < 0.01) de T3 con respecto a T2 y T1. En cuanto a la conversión alimenticia, los resultados obtenidos fueron T1: 12.83, T2: 12.68 y T3: 11.73, no se encontraron diferencias estadísticas (P> 0.05) entre los tratamientos aun que se observa un valor menor con el T3.

This research work was carried out in the “San Miguel” farm, located in the Cachiyacu river basin, Balsapuerto district, Alto Amazonas province; with the purpose of determining the influence of kudzú (Pueraria phaseoloides) and maralfalfa (Pennisetum sp) on the productive indices (food consumption, weight gain and food conversion) of guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus) in the breeding stage, using 36 guinea pigs weaned males from 21 days (breeding stage) of the Peru, Andean and Inti breeds of type I and A, from the National Agrarian University La Molina - Lima, distributed in a Completely Random Design, with three treatments and four repetitions (3 units per repetition in each treatment). The treatments were: T1: 100% kudzu, T2: 100% maralfalfa and T3: 50% kudzu + 50% maralfalfa; evaluated in a period of 8 weeks, finding the following results: regarding food consumption, values for 23.23, 23.16 and 24.57 g / day were obtained for T1, T2 and T3. Correspondingly presenting highly significant statistical differences (P <0.01) between T3 and T2 and T1. In relation to the increase in weight they were 348.75 (6.23 g/day), 355.00 (6.34 g/day) and 406.25 (7.25 g/day) g, for T1, T2 and T3 respectively with statistical differences (P <0.01) of T3 with respect to T2 and T1.
