The city is located in a high rainfall area of 1,000 mm yearly rainfall or more, which falls during a short time period and leads to impounding a large amount of water in the three to four months of the rainy seasons, which then provide water for the rest of the year. The hydrologic and climatic data of the catchments are considered for water balance analysis of the three reservoirs. Findings argue for the necessity of additional storage and treatment plants capacities.
