Towards water smart cities!?

Drivers for a shift towards a circular water system are climate adaptation, increased demands for water and wastewater treatment and new demands from customers Implementing a circular water system has numerous benefits, but it also faces several significant barriers e.g.: - Complex Regulations and Permits - Public Perception and Acceptance - Technological and Infrastructure Challenges - Uncertain Economic Incentives - Lack of Public and Political Support. In addition to environmental concerns, we have to plan and invest with robustness and resilience in mind. This may also be a driver for circular water systems.
