Im Botanischen Verein wurde 2016 eine Arbeitsgemeinschaft Neophyten gegründet, die Informations- und Meinungsaustausch über nichteinheimische Pflanzen, ihre Auswirkungen und Bewertungen zum Ziel hat. Dazu werden Vortrags- und Diskussionsveranstaltungen in den Winterhalbjahren und Beobachtungen und Versuche an Impatiens edgeworthii durchgeführt.

The working group “Neophytes” was founded in order to enhance the exchange of information and opinions on the subject of invasive alien plant species. The group organises discussion meetings and field trips.
