allemand. Im Kulturjahr 1995 traten im norddeutschen Raum Welkeerscheinungen an Cyclamen persicum der Sorte Scholten pastell auf, die nicht auf einen Fusarium-Befall zurückzuführen waren. Aus kranken Pflanzen wurde neben Bakterien einheitlich eine Phytophthora-Art isoliert, die taxonomisch dem Phytophthora palmivora-Komplex zuzuordnen ist. Die Pathogenität des Phytophthora-lsolates wurde nachgewiesen.

In the growing season 1995 wilt symptoms, which could not be associated with an infection by Fusarium, occurred in Cyclamen persicum cultivar Schalten pastell in the northern region of Germany. Besides bacteria, a species of Phytophthora was uniformly isolated from the diseased plants, which is tobe taxiconomically classified close to the Phytophthora palmivora complex. The pathogenity of the Phytophthora-isolate was proved.
