Gradul și caracterul de manifestare a heterozisului la nivel de molecule proteice la hibrizi simpli de porumb de selecție autohtonă din ultimii ani

The research was based on the method of protein storage electrophoresis and a new version of the FOREZ-2 Program. It was experimen-tally proven that the "total area of zein peptide subunits" (ar.SPZ total) from the protein EF spectrum is an optimal indicator of the zein polymorphism to determine the heterosis effect at the level of protein molecules. The hypothe-tical heterosis index by the parameter “ar.SPZ total”can be used quite effecti-vely to predict the maize hybrid combinations with a high degree of hetero-sis. The real heterosis index according to the maternal and paternal forms, calculated by the parameter “ar.SPZ total”, are the most suitable to highlight the genotypes as potential carriers of the zein hybridization markers of the corresponding hybrid combinations between the parental forms. The use of the dominance coefficient by “ar.SPZ total” makes it possible to select those hybrids, for which the overdominance effect (heterosis) is manifested at the level of the zein molecular forms. That’s why the parameter “ar.SPZ total” from the protein EF spectrum of the corresponding genotype is considered for recommendation as the optimal index of zein polymorphism to determine the heterosis effect at the level of protein molecules.
