In this study, the effects of stable manure in the soil samples which have two different textures such as sand and sandy loam, on cadmiumadsorption and desorption is investigated in laboratory conditions. Once the physical and chemical properties of the soil samples were determinedand then adsorption and desorption tests were performed, respectively. To determine the effects of stable manure that is an organic matter, on theadsorption of soluble Cd in soil, stable manure at the rate of %3 and %6 were added in two different soil samples. The effect of stable manure onthe adsorption of Cd was defined as (0-32 mg/L) at the different Cd concentrations. The Cd adsorption was conducted in laboratory by using somediscrete adsorption tests. The preliminary Cd concentrations were defined as 0-2-4-8-16 and 32 mg/L, respectively and batch adsorption tests wereperformed for the concentrations. Besides this, some desorption tests were carried out with 0,01M CaCl2. As a result of the experimental studies ithas been determined that an increasing in the amount of stable manure causes an increasing for Cd adsorption and a decreasing for Cd desorption. In addition, it has been found that the maximum Cd adsorption is in the soil sample which includes %6 stable manure.
