anglais. Orchids belong to the most important ornamental plants. Due to an enormous number of species and cultivars, most of them cannot be propagated generatively and the plants are also propagated vegetatively. One of the methods commonly used is propagation in vitro. This review presents the state of knowledge on the subject of micropropagation of orchids, including the most important results on the subject of in vitro germination and micropropagation in tissue culture.

W związku z ogromną liczbą gatunków i odmian storczyków, z których większość nie może być rozmnażana generatywnie, rośliny te są rozmnażane także wegetatywnie. Jedną z metod wykorzystywaną powszechnie jest rozmnażanie in vitro. W pracy przedstawiono istniejący stan wiedzy na temat kiełkowania nasion w warunkach in vitro oraz mikrorozmnażania storczyków, z uwzględnieniem najbardziej znaczących wyników badań.
