Assessment of the impact of meteorological conditions on the sugar content of sugar beet roots in the Zamość region | Ocena oddziaływania warunków meteorologicznych na zawartość cukru w korzeniach buraka cukrowego na Zamojszczyźnie

anglais. The aim of this study is to assess the impact of weather conditions on the sugar content of sugar beet roots in the period 2006-2011. The study was based on the research material from the growing seasons of sugar beet plantations in Deszkowice Pierwsze. The material of this study were the analytical data on meteorological conditions, including the air temperature and precipitation, and the sugar content (polarization, %) in sugar beet in the years 2006-2011. The analysis found that climatic factors such as precipitation and air temperature had a clear impact on the quality of sugar beet yield expressed as the percentage of sucrose. The highest content of sugar beet roots, amounting to 18%, was obtained in 2006. The year 2010 was very poor for beet production. This was related to the unfavorable course of the weather.

polonais. Celem niniejszej pracy jest określenie wpływu warunków meteorologicznych na zawartość cukru w korzeniach buraka cukrowego w latach 2006–2011. W pracy wykorzystano materiał badawczy z sezonów wegetacyjnych uprawy buraka cukrowego na plantacji w Deszkowicach Pierwszych. Materiał analityczny niniejszej pracy stanowiły dane dotyczące warunków me- teorologicznych, w tym temperatury powietrza i opadów atmosferycznych, oraz zawartości cukru (polaryzacja, %) w burakach cukrowych w latach 2006–2011. W wyniku przeprowadzonej analizy stwierdzono, że takie elementy meteorologiczne, jak opady atmosferyczne i temperatura powietrza, miały wyraźny wpływ na jakość plonu buraka cukrowego wyrażonego procentową zawartością sacharozy. Największą zawartość cukru w korzeniach buraka cukrowego uzyskano w roku 2006 – 18%. Rok 2010 był natomiast bardzo słabym okresem dla produkcji buraków, co wynikało z niekorzystnego przebiegu pogody w okresie wegetacji tej rośliny.
