Cultivation of flax (Linum L.) sprouts and their response to the cadmium ions' effect in vitro: the stress reaction level and polyphenols accumulation | Культивирование проростков льна (Linum L.) и их реакция на действие ионов кадмия в условиях in vitro: уровень стрессовой реакции и накопление полифенолов

anglais. The most popular Linum plant cultivation products include high-strength fiber, cake and chaff, as well as highly nutritious linseed oil. A comparison of in vitro responses of seedlings to the Cd exposure was carried out when assessing their morphophysiological characteristics, the level of lipid peroxidation (LPO) and the content of phenolic compounds including phenylpropanoids and flavonoids. The objects of the study were in vitro sterile seedlings of fibre 'Lenok' flax , oil 'Sanlin' flax (L. usitatissimum), and ornamental large-flowered 'Red' flax (L. grandiflorum Desf.). During the experiment, 14-day-old flax seedlings were exposed to exogenous action of 75 mkM aqueous solution of cadmium nitrate (experimental treatment) or water (control treatment) by introducing into the root zone. It was found that in vitro seedlings of three flax varieties differed in physiological and biochemical parameters, which determines their response to the action of Cd. Already in the early stages of in vitro ontogenesis, species specificity was manifested in the formation of the root system, the formation of LPO reaction products, the accumulation of phenolic compounds and the absorption of the heavy metal. The highest Cd content was found in in vitro flax seedlings, a more efficient Cd accumulator compared to oil flax and large-flowered flax. It exceeded this indicator for oil flax and large-flowered flax by 20.2 and 23.6%, respectively. The LPO level decreased only in oil flax and large-flowered flax by 24.2 and 34.2%, respectively, compared to the control, which indicates activation of their defense systems in response to the pollutant. An increase in the total content of phenolic compounds, as well as their classes in response to the action of Cd occurred only in oil flax (by 14, 70 and 49%) vs. the control, which indicates the process of activation of protective systems.

russe. К наиболее востребованным продуктам возделывания льна относятся льняное волокно высокой прочности, жмых, костра, а также высокопитательное льняное масло. Сравнили ответные реакций in vitro проростков на действие Cd по их морфофизиологическим характеристикам, уровню перекисного окисления липидов (ПОЛ) и содержанию фенольных соединений, в том числе фенилпропаноидов и флавоноидов. Объект исследования: in vitro стерильные проростки льна прядильного (лен-долгунец, сорт Ленок), масличного (лен масличный, сорт Санлин) (Linum usitatissimum L.), а также декоративного (лен крупноцветковый Linum grandiflorum Desf., сорт Red) назначения. При проведении эксперимента 14-суточные проростки льна подвергали экзогенному воздействию 75 мкМ водного раствора нитрата кадмия (опытный вариант) или воды (контрольный вариант) посредством внесения в прикорневую зону. Установлено, что in vitro проростки трех разновидностей льна различались по физиолого-биохимическим параметрам, что и определяет их ответную реакцию на действие Cd. Уже на ранних этапах онтогенеза в условиях in vitro видоспецифичность проявлялась при формировании корневой системы, образовании реакционных продуктов ПОЛ, а также в накоплении фенольных соединений и поглощении тяжелого металла. Самое высокое содержание Cd выявлено у in vitro проростков льна-долгунца - более эффективного аккумулятора Cd относительно льна масличного и льна крупноцветкового. Оно превышало этот показатель у льна масличного и льна крупноцветкового соответственно на 20,2 и 23,6%. При этом уровень ПОЛ снижался только у льна масличного и льна крупноцветкового - соответственно на 24,2 и 34,2% относительно контроля, что свидетельствует об активации их защитных систем в ответ на действие поллютанта. Повышение суммарного содержания фенольных соединений, а также их классов в ответ на действие Cd отмечено только у льна масличного (соответственно на 14, 70 и 49%) относительно контроля, что указывает на активацию защитных систем.
