The evolution of rural tourism and the agritourism potential of a county in Romania

This paper explores the development of rural tourism in Argeș County, a re gion with high potential for the growth of the agritourism sector. The analysis aims to highlight the positive trend in rural tourism in Romania, as well as the economic relevance that agritourism could hold. Although it represents a niche industry, agritourism and rural tourism could become important fac tors in establishing an economic balance between the country’s rural and urban areas.
