This paper investigates the influence of planting density on sorghum yield in the conditions of the Republic of Moldova with the aim of optimizing agronomic practices and improving the resilience of agricultural production to climate change. The study was conducted from 2019 to 2022 and partially analyzed the yield of sorghum hybrids and lines at a dense height of 170, 200 and 228 thousand/ha. The hybrid "Pișcevoi 1" showed an increase in yield to 12 t/ha with an increase in planting density to 228 thousand/ha, which is 75% higher than at a density of 170 thousand/ha. Analysis of variance confirmed a significant effect of density on yield (p < 0.05), and the Pearson correlation coefficient was 0.89, indicating a strong positive relationship. The results show the importance of taking into account the genetic characteristics of varieties and climatic factors to develop effective agronomic strategies that can ensure high sorghum yields under conditions of limited land resources and changing climate
