Corn (Zea mays L.) is considered a major crop in the Republic of Moldova; however, its production is limited by low nutrients supply. Results of the study on the effect of foliar application of Voema starter and Voema vegetative on the yield and quality of corn grain cultivated in the central zone of the Republic of Moldova are given. The effect of fertilization on growth and development of cob corn is shown. Foliar nutrition contributes to enhancing the productivity of grain to 9,63 t/ha, that at 1,45 t/ha higher version without fertilizer application. The utilization supplemental foliage nutrition did not change the contents of crude oil and crude protein in corn grain. Fertilization of plants increased the export of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium by grain yield. Hence, we concluded that the application of Voema starter and Voema vegetative is a biotechnological approach to improve the yield and quality of corn grain.
