Peptic ulcer disease is characterized by nonspecific symptoms that are often overlooked, which is why the disease is usually detected in an advanced stage. Although there are numerous causes, infection caused by Helicobacter pylori is considered the main factor in the development and progression of peptic ulcer disease. By eradicating the infection and providing adequate nutritional therapy, the symptoms of the disease can be reduced, and healing and recovery can be accelerated. The aim of this paper is to present the process of nutritional care for patients with ulcers treated at the Clinical Hospital Center "Zvezdara" in Belgrade. The nutritional assessment was conducted through a conversation with the patient, taking anthropometric measurements, and collecting other relevant data from medical records. Nutritional problems were identified, and nutritional interventions based on current guidelines for the nutritional therapy of ulcer disease were implemented. The success in resolving the identified nutritional problems is demonstrated through nutritional evaluation.
