anglais. First record of the assassin bug Zelus renardii in Bolivia is provided. The record is based on specimens from Cochabamba. Additionally its first occurrence in the Argentinean province of Chubut from the locality of Chubut. The first teratological case in the species is described belonging to an unilateral atrophy in the right mesothoracic leg. It is concluded that the malformation can be caused by a femoral injury during a nymphal stage. Importance of the new record and teratoses are commented and discussed.

Se entrega el primer registro de Zelus renardii para Bolivia en base a ejemplares de Cochabamba; y su primera ocurrencia en la provincia argentina de Chubut, con ejemplares de Puerto Madryn. Adicionalmente un ejemplar encontrado en Argentina presenta una atrofia unilateral en la pata mesotorácica derecha, la que corresponde a la primera teratología conocida en esta especie. Se concluye que esta malformación puede deberse a un trauma en fémur en un estado inmaduro. Se comentan y discuten las implicancias de los nuevos registros y la teratosis.
