Resistance to the phytophagous semi-endoparasitic nematode Tylenchulus semipenetrans was evaluated by analyzing the histological modifications induced in two citrus rootstocks grown in the province of Tucumán (Argentina). The foot of C. reshni was shown to be the least susceptible. Moreover, the histological alterations generated by the nematode appear surrounded by a suberized layer that would isolate the affected area from the rest of the attacked root tissues.

Se evalúa la resistencia al nematodo fitógago semi-endoparásito Tylenchulus semipenetrans por medio del análisis de las modificaciones histológicas inducidas en dos pies de cítricos cultivados en la provincia de Tucumán (Argentina). El pie de C. reshni mostró ser el menos susceptible. Además, las alteraciones histológicas generadas por el nematodo aparecen rodeadas por una capa suberificada que aislaría la zona afectada del resto de los tejidos de la raíz atacada.
